Malut United releases 22 players

Malut United released 22 players based on an evaluation of their performance in the 2024/2025 Indonesian League 1 competition and ahead of preparations for the new season, including compiling a team framework to face the 2025/2026 season.

"There are 22 players that we released after going through an evaluation and discussion process. The team's needs are the main consideration in determining which players to release or retain," said Malut United COO Willem D. Nanlohy when contacted from Ternate, Sunday.

According to him, the decision to end the cooperation and no longer extend the contracts of the 22 players was also taken after management held discussions and considered the continuation of the careers of the players concerned.

The players who were released included Aldhila Ray Redondo, Rifky Tofani, Saddam Hi Tenang, Ilham Udin Armaiyn, Muhammad Rio Saputro, Irsan Lestaluhu, Pramoedya Putra Suhardi, Aaron Yekti, Achmad Baasith, Ichlasul Qadri, Bagus Nirwanto, and Hari Nur Yulianto. The 12 players have been part of the Malut United family since they fought in League 2 2023/2024.

They contributed to Laskar Kie Raha's success in being promoted to the top division in less than a year after the club was formed.
