Medvedev describes the G7 as the dead club

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, described the G7 as the "dead club," and that when Russia was a member of the G8, it was treated like a zombie.

Medvedev asserted in a post on the X platform that the G7 had long since died as an effective platform. He noted that even when it was called the G8, with Moscow's participation, dealing with it was like dealing with a half-dead, half-alive zombie.

Medvedev also mocked French President Emmanuel Macron, writing: "(US President Donald) Trump made clear the status of the 'European dogs' under Macron's leadership," using the English word for micro.

He also described Trump as a "courageous man," saying, "He criticized the Russia exemption, refused to discuss sanctions, and left. It's been clear for a long time that this is a dead club. I remember when we sat at the same table with them. They were all zombies by then."

The G7 summit (United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Canada, United States, France, and Japan) will be held from June 15 to 17 in the Canadian tourist region of Kananaskis (Alberta).

At this forum, Trump specifically stated that the West's collective rejection of the G8 format with Russia's participation was a grave mistake. He also hinted that he would not agree to new measures against Russia, noting that sanctions "cost too much . "

Trump left the summit ahead of schedule . The White House explained that he needed "time to address several important issues."
