famine warnings

It added, "Since the resumption of aid, we have brought in only 700 trucks, compared to the 600 to 700 trucks that used to enter daily. To ward off famine, we need to support the people of Gaza on a regular basis by meeting their basic food needs."

He continued, "The fear of famine within the Gaza Strip remains extremely high. Ensuring aid entry requires providing safe routes for convoys, expediting permit approvals, and opening the crossings."

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it. The genocide has left approximately 182,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them women and children, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and famine has claimed the lives of many, including children, as well as widespread destruction.
