"No to kings, no to dictatorship" Thousands of protesters in the United States demand Trump's resignation

Thousands took to the streets of Washington, Los Angeles, and other states to protest US government policies, raising slogans demanding the resignation of President Donald Trump and describing him as a tyrant and the Antichrist.

Protesters in Washington, D.C., marched toward the White House, while other cities witnessed similar demonstrations.

Washington: March to the White House

A Novosti correspondent reported that hundreds of demonstrators marched through the streets of Washington, D.C., on Saturday afternoon, protesting Trump's policies and demanding his resignation. The march proceeded in an orderly fashion, accompanied by a large number of police officers, and carried signs reading "Trump Must Go Now."

One organizer confirmed that the number of participants reached "several hundred," while the protesters chanted slogans against the president, including obscene language and slogans such as "No kings," a reference to opposition accusations that Trump has authoritarian tendencies. Upon reaching the White House compound near Lafayette Park, they encountered security barriers previously set up by authorities, keeping them within a few dozen meters of the presidential residence.

Hundreds also gathered near the Fox 5 headquarters in the Washington suburbs, where they held up signs reading "Trump summons demons" and "Immediate impeachment," chanting the same slogans as honking motorists supported them.

Los Angeles: Peaceful protest in front of City Hall

Los Angeles witnessed its largest protest since Monday, with thousands of people gathering in front of City Hall. The demonstration was peaceful, with no police intervention or violence by protesters.

Philadelphia: 14,000 chant "This is what democracy looks like"

Approximately 14,000 people participated in Philadelphia, chanting slogans such as "This is what democracy looks like" and "Trump, go away." Some carried American flags and signs likening the current situation in the United States to Nazi Germany, while others likened Trump to the "Antichrist."

New York: Roads closed due to protests

About 500 protesters gathered in midtown Manhattan on Fifth Avenue, blocking some roads and causing traffic jams. Protesters held signs reading "No kings, no dictators," while some criticized the 250th anniversary celebration of the founding of the U.S. Army , held the same day in Washington.
