Pachuca lose 1-2 to Salzburg despite dominant display

Mexican club Pachuca, who played dominantly, lost 1-2 to Austrian team RB Salzburg in the Group H match of the 2025 Club World Cup at the TQL Stadium, Cincinnati, United States.

FIFA's website stated that Pachuca, who got a goal from Bryan Gonzalez, dominated the match with 65 percent possession and 15 chances.

Meanwhile, Salzburg played more clinically, scoring two goals through Oscar Gloukh and Karim Onisiwo, despite only having 34 percent possession and 10 chances.

RB Salzburg lead Group H with three points from one game, while Pachuca are bottom of the standings with no points.

The situation in Group H is beyond many people's expectations because Spanish giants Real Madrid are below RB Salzburg.
