Persijap Jepara has officially appointed Mario Licinio Guerreiro Lemos as head coach to face the 2025/2026 Liga 1 season.
The Portuguese coach comes with a wealth of experience in South Asia, including with Bangladeshi club Abahani Limited Dhaka and as assistant coach of Mumbai City FC in the Indian Super League.
"I am very happy and enthusiastic to be able to join this club. We really want to form a competitive and fighting spirited team, which can represent the people of Jepara," Lemos said in his written statement on Wednesday.
"We are very grateful to the coaching staff and previous players who have brought this club to Liga 1 in the 2025-2026 season. Without them, we would not be here. To all of them, thank you!" he continued.
