"If the people are on our side, no problem will threaten the country. Therefore, all necessary steps must be taken to preserve national unity," Pezeshkian said in a message he delivered during a cabinet meeting and published on the Iranian presidency's website .
The Iranian president thanked various countries, especially neighboring ones, for their solidarity with his country and their offers of assistance following the Israeli aggression.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the President called on all officials to exercise the utmost caution, adhere to the principles of security and protection, and act in accordance with the instructions of the relevant authorities.
Since Friday, Israel, with US support, has launched an aggression against Iran, including bombing nuclear facilities and missile bases and assassinating military leaders and nuclear scientists. This has resulted in 224 deaths and 1,277 injuries. Tehran has responded with ballistic missiles and drones, leaving approximately 24 dead and hundreds injured.
