Pezeshkian said that his country has always been for peace, adding: "The only way to end the imposed war in the current situation is for the enemy to unconditionally cease its raids, and for there to be a definite guarantee to put an end to the adventures of the Zionist terrorists once and for all. Otherwise, our responses to the enemy will be harsher, more painful, and more regrettable."
With US support, Israel launched an aggression against Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, missile bases, military leaders, and nuclear scientists. Tehran responded by launching ballistic missiles and drones deep into Israel, in the largest direct confrontation between the two sides.
According to the latest toll announced by Iran on Monday, the Israeli strikes killed 224 people and injured 1,277, most of them civilians. The Washington-based Human Rights Activists reported that the death toll had risen to approximately 639, with more than 1,329 injured, as of Thursday.
Meanwhile, the latest Israeli estimates, citing Hebrew media outlets, including Channel 12, indicate that 25 people have been killed. Tel Aviv announced on Friday that the number of wounded arriving at hospitals had risen to 2,517, including 21 in critical condition and 103 in moderate condition, according to a statement from the Israeli Ministry of Health.
However, observers say that Israeli losses are higher, given the strict censorship Tel Aviv imposes on the publication of any information related to the locations of Iranian missile strikes or their consequences. This suggests that the statistics are likely to rise.
