"Our response will be extremely negative." The Kremlin warns Israel against assassinating Khamenei.

Israeli threats to target Iran's Supreme Leader, Peskov said in press statements that Russia's reaction to an Israeli assassination of Khamenei with US support would be "extremely negative," adding, "We will absolutely not agree to that."

Regarding talk of regime change in Iran, Peskov noted that this is unimaginable, adding, "This should be unacceptable, and it should be unacceptable for anyone to even talk about it."

The Russian spokesman did not address what Moscow would do if Khamenei were assassinated, but he emphasized that "this would lead to the emergence of extremist tendencies within Iran, and those who speak about this should bear this in mind, as they would be opening Pandora's Box."

Peskov warned that an escalation of the conflict between the parties would make matters more dangerous, noting that the situation is extremely tense and dangerous not only for the region but for the world as well.

Since dawn on June 13, the Israeli occupation army, with US support, has been waging an aggression against Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, missile bases, military leaders, and nuclear scientists. Tehran responded by launching ballistic missiles and drones toward Israeli territory, in the largest direct confrontation between the two sides.

According to the latest official death toll announced by the Iranian Ministry of Health on Monday, the Israeli strikes killed 224 people and injured 1,277 others, most of them civilians. The Washington-based Human Rights Activists reported that the death toll in Iran had risen to approximately 639, with more than 1,329 injured, as of Thursday morning.

In contrast, the latest Israeli estimates, cited by Hebrew media outlets, including Channel 12, indicate that 25 Israelis were killed and more than 800 others were injured as a result of the Iranian strikes.
