Sony is easing regional restrictions for a number of games on PC

Sony has quietly lifted region locks for several of its popular game titles on Steam, allowing players from previously restricted countries to purchase the games again.

As reported by Engadget, this finding was first reported by Twitter account Wario64 via data changes in the Steam database. With that, players in 177 countries can now re-access a number of Sony games on PC including "God of War Ragnarok", "The Last of Us Part II Remastered", "Spider-Man 2", and "Helldivers 2".

Sony itself has not made an official announcement regarding the lifting of this restriction, nor the reasons behind it.
