Tel Aviv announces the arrest of an Israeli working for Tehran, and Iran arrests a "European" spy working for the occupation

Israeli police said in a post on the X platform that "Dmitri Cohen (28 years old) from Haifa was arrested on suspicion of spying for Iran," adding that this comes "as part of a joint investigation between the Shin Bet (General Security Service) and the Coastal District Police."

She added that the investigation revealed that the suspect "carried out surveillance missions against Israelis, took photographs of their homes, and handed them over to his handlers in exchange for payment in digital currencies," noting that she had filed a "serious indictment" against Cohen.

This is the second case announced by the Tel Aviv authorities since the beginning of the Israeli aggression against Iran 11 days ago.

According to a previous police report, 23 Israelis have been arrested on suspicion of collaborating with Iranian agents since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza on October 7, 2023.

"European spy"

In this context, Iranian state television announced that judicial authorities had arrested a European citizen in Hamadan Province on suspicion of spying for Israel, without providing any details.

He continued, "The spy entered the country disguised as a tourist and continued his mission of establishing networks, gathering information, and disrupting Iran's offensive and missile systems."

Execution of a spy

Meanwhile, Iranian judicial authorities announced Monday morning the execution of Mohammad Amin Mahdavi Shaista, a citizen convicted of spying for the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.

Iran's Tasnim news agency quoted authorities as saying the sentence was carried out after the Supreme Court ratified the decision, following the trial of the Iranian citizen who had been detained for two years.

According to the indictment, the convict worked for Iran International, a London-based Iranian opposition channel, and "led a Mossad cyber team."

Shooting down drones

On the other hand, Iran announced that it had shot down 130 Israeli drones since the beginning of the aggression launched by Tel Aviv on June 13.

The Iranian news website Entekhab published a statement issued by Iran's Air Defense Systems Organization announcing the downing of 130 Israeli drones.

The statement read: "Since the start of the Zionist entity's attacks until 7:00 a.m. today (Monday), more than 130 enemy drones have been destroyed and shot down across the country."

10,000 drones

In this context, the Iranian Fars News Agency quoted an informed source as saying, "More than 10,000 small drones (quadcopters) were seized in Tehran, which were primarily used for espionage and sabotage by agents affiliated with the Zionist entity."

A spokesman for Iran's Internal Security Forces Command announced the identification and dismantling of a drone transmission network equipped in the mountains northwest of Tehran. A large quantity of drone guidance and control equipment was also seized in the operation, according to the agency.

Since June 13, Israel has targeted nuclear facilities, missile bases, military leaders, and nuclear scientists in Iran. Iran has responded by striking Israeli military and intelligence headquarters with ballistic missiles and drones, resulting in deaths and injuries on both sides
