The latest of them was Ahmed Qaljah. The media office in Gaza announces the martyrdom of 226 journalists since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Strip.

The office explained in a statement that journalist Ahmed Qaljah, who worked as a cameraman for Al-Arabiya TV, passed away after being injured in an airstrike that targeted the courtyard of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City. A medical source had previously told Anadolu Agency that Qaljah had undergone resuscitation, but his condition remained extremely critical.

The statement emphasized that journalists are being targeted in a "systematic" manner, and condemned what it described as "deliberate killings and assassinations" carried out by Israeli forces against Palestinian journalists.

The media office called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and media organizations around the world to condemn what it called "the ongoing crimes against journalists in Gaza."

The genocide in Gaza left more than 180,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and over 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and famine claimed the lives of many, including children, as well as widespread destruction.
