"We, in cooperation with the Al-Quds Brigades, were able to snipe an Israeli soldier and kill him instantly in the Abasan al-Kabira area east of Khan Yunis," the brigades said in a statement on Telegram.
The Brigades added that its fighters "spotted an Israeli helicopter landing for evacuation," without providing further details.
This comes in the context of Palestinian factions' response to the genocide perpetrated by Israel in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which includes killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The genocide, backed by the United States, left more than 185,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and a famine claimed the lives of many, including children.
