PSSI General Chairman Erick Thohir said the Indonesian U-17 national team will play a trial match against fellow participating countries in the 2025 U-17 World Cup.
"Meeting with the Manager of the Indonesian U-17 National Team, Mr. Ahmed Zaki and Coach Nova Arianto regarding the preparations for the Indonesian U-17 National Team which will compete in the Qatar U-17 World Cup in November 2025," wrote Erick in an Instagram upload, Thursday.
"In the next 5 months, the U17 National Team will conduct a number of training camps both domestically and abroad. Including plans for trial matches against countries that will appear in the U17 World Cup," he added.
Garuda Muda will hold a training camp in the country, precisely in North Sumatra in August. There, Indonesia is reported to hold a trial against three participating countries in the U-17 World Cup whose names have not yet been mentioned.
