Kevin De Bruyne has joined Serie A champions Napoli as a free transfer.
"Kevin is proud to be one of us," Napoli said in a statement on social media on Thursday.
The 33-year-old Belgian midfielder has signed a two-year contract with the option of a further year, and is expected to be a key player in Antonio Conte's squad next season.
De Bruyne arrived in Naples on Thursday (12/6) to undergo a medical and complete his transfer to the Stadio Maradona.
The transfer also came under scrutiny because De Bruyne rejected lucrative offers from Major League Soccer (MLS) and Saudi Arabian clubs, including Al Hilal, to remain at Europe's top level with Napoli, who have just won their second Serie A title in three years.
