On Sunday morning, Iran launched a new barrage of missiles targeting areas in central and northern Israel, causing widespread destruction and injuring 23 people, according to the Israeli Ambulance Service. This attack came hours after the United States carried out airstrikes targeting three nuclear facilities inside Iran.
Early Sunday morning, Washington officially announced its involvement in the war, with US President Donald Trump confirming a "very successful attack" on the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities. In a post on the Truth Social platform, he explained that US aircraft dropped "a full load of bombs" on those sites before leaving Iranian airspace without interception.
The region has witnessed a dangerous escalation since June 13, with Israel launching continuous attacks on Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, missile bases, military personnel, and scientists. Tehran responded by launching ballistic missiles and drones deep into Israeli territory, in one of the most violent direct confrontations between the two sides.
