The President Director of the Public Service Agency (BLU) of the Sports Fund and Business Management Institute (LPDUK) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ferry Kono, said that Jakarta will soon hold the FIBA 3x3 Challenger Jakarta 2025 and the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series.
Indonesia once again had the honor of hosting the two prestigious events, organized by LPDUK Kemenpora through the Indonesian Sport Promoter (Inaspro), with the brand Inaspro 3x3 Jakarta 2025, which took place at Plaza Timur Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan.
"We are very proud and enthusiastic about the trust from FIBA, because this event is not only about the match, but also about bringing the spirit of sport to a wider public," said Ferry.
According to him, the appointment is proof of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA)'s trust in Indonesia's ability to organize international activities and is part of the momentum of the growth of 3x3 basketball in Indonesia.
FIBA 3x3 Challenger Jakarta 2025 is one of the important series in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2025 calendar. A total of 20 Challengers will be held this year.
The winners of each Challenger will have a chance to earn a spot in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2025, with the finals being held in Manama, Bahrain, on November 21–22.
Meanwhile, the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series is part of FIBA's annual series of competitions for women's teams, with the aim of expanding participation and visibility of women's basketball on the world stage.
