The use of the instant messaging service application WhatsApp has reportedly been banned from use by the United States House of Representatives ( US House of Representatives ).
According to an Axios report as quoted by The Verge on Tuesday, the ban on the use of the instant messaging application owned by Meta Platforms on government devices was conveyed by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the DPR in an email to staff.
The Cyber Security Office classifies WhatsApp as a high-risk application especially in handling user data.
