French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot confirmed that his country followed the attack "with great concern," emphasizing that Paris was not involved in its planning or execution. Meanwhile, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares said the recent escalation demonstrates that "the solution can only come through diplomacy and negotiation."

For its part, Switzerland expressed "deep concern," calling for an urgent resumption of diplomatic efforts. Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide expressed similar concern, asserting that "the United States is now a direct party to the war."

In a related development, Russian National Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said that "Washington has entered a new conflict, with the possibility of a ground operation, and that the Iranian political system has remained cohesive and may even grow stronger."

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen affirmed that "the time has come for a credible diplomatic solution," emphasizing that "Iran must never possess a nuclear bomb."

Germany called on Iran to enter into immediate negotiations with the United States and Israel, while Italy expressed hope for a "de-escalation of tensions following this attack," despite acknowledging that it caused significant damage to Iran's nuclear program.

Regionally, Egypt considered the "escalation an unacceptable threat to regional and international security," emphasizing the priority of a "political solution." Saudi Arabia shared the same position, emphasizing the "need to reach a peaceful settlement that ensures stability."

For its part, Pakistan condemned the strikes, affirming "Iran's right to self-defense under the UN Charter." The Iraqi government described the attack as a "serious threat to regional peace and stability."

In the first British comment, Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that "preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is a priority," adding that "the United States has acted to reduce this threat." In a technical development, International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi reassured residents near the targeted sites, saying, "We do not expect any health effects from the raids."

For his part, Pope Leo XIV declared that "humanity cries out and demands peace" in the face of "the disturbing news coming from the Middle East."

At the conclusion of the weekly Angelus prayer at the Vatican, the Pope said, "Every member of the international community bears the moral responsibility to put an end to the tragedy of war before it turns into an unbridgeable abyss."

On Sunday morning, the United States entered the Israeli war against Iran, with President Donald Trump announcing a "highly successful" attack targeting Iran's three most prominent nuclear sites: the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan facilities.

Since June 13, Israel, with US support, has launched a large-scale attack on Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, missile bases, military leaders, and nuclear scientists. Tehran responded by launching ballistic missiles and drones deep into Israel, in the largest direct confrontation between the two sides.
