the ministry said that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received "28 martyrs and 223 injuries" in the space of 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli attacks. It explained that "a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, and ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them."
The ministry reported that the death toll since the resumption of the war of extermination on March 18, 2025, has reached "6,203 martyrs, in addition to 21,601 wounded." It noted that the death toll from the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, has risen to "56,531 martyrs and 133,642 wounded."
Martyrdom of displaced and starving people
In this context, 40 Palestinians, including displaced and starving people, were killed in Israeli bombardment targeting several areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn on Monday, as part of an ongoing genocide.
The Israeli occupation forces escalated their airstrikes and artillery shelling of the southern and eastern parts of Gaza City, particularly the neighborhoods of Zeitoun, Shujaiya, and Tuffah. They also launched raids on four schools housing displaced persons after receiving evacuation warnings, three of which were adjacent to each other in the Zeitoun neighborhood, and the fourth in the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, according to local sources in the city.
The Israeli occupation army has recently escalated its bloody attacks in the Gaza Strip, particularly against starving civilians, leaving them with the choice between starvation and being shot, ignoring all international calls to halt its violations.
Evacuation of 18 neighborhoods
In a related development, the Israeli occupation army warned Palestinian civilians on Monday to evacuate their homes in 18 neighborhoods in the northern Gaza Strip, in preparation for their bombardment and destruction.
"A serious warning to all those in the Gaza City and Jabalia areas, and in the neighborhoods of Zeitoun al-Sharqi, the Old City, Turkman, Jadida, Tuffah, Daraj, Sabra, Jabalia al-Balad, Jabalia al-Nazla, Jabalia Camp, al-Rawda, al-Nahda, al-Zuhur, al-Nour, al-Salam, and Tal al-Zaatar," Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee said via the X platform.
He added, "The Israeli army is operating with extreme force in these areas, and these military operations will escalate and intensify, extending westward to the city center to destroy the capabilities of the terrorist organizations," he claimed.
Over the past few months, the Israeli occupation army has issued dozens of similar warnings, leaving less than 18% of the Gaza Strip for Palestinians to reside in, according to United Nations reports.
Hospital bombed 12 times
For its part, the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip said on Monday that the Israeli occupation forces had bombed Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah 12 times since the start of the genocide on October 7, 2023.
The office added in a statement: "In the context of the ongoing aggression and genocide committed by the Israeli occupation army against our people in the Gaza Strip, the occupation forces committed a new crime when its warplanes bombed a tent for displaced persons inside the walls of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital."
He explained that the bombing "resulted in injuries, material damage, and threatened the lives of dozens of patients, directly exposing them to the risk of death." He stressed that "this criminal targeting occurs for the twelfth time since the beginning of the genocidal war, in a systematic repetition of the bombing crimes that targeted the same hospital, which reflects a clear determination to target the health infrastructure and violate international laws that prohibit harming medical facilities and civilians."
The Israeli occupation army has bombed hospitals in Gaza, turning them into a battlefield through raids and the arrest of medical personnel, putting most of them out of service. The siege has also been crippling, exhausting the medical sector.
256 displacement centers were targeted
The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip also announced on Monday that the Israeli occupation army has targeted 256 displacement centers since the start of the war of extermination on October 7, 2023.
The media office said in a statement: "The (Israeli) occupation deliberately targeted more than 11 displacement centers during the month of June alone, in the context of an organized crime that reflects its blatant disregard for international law and humanitarian agreements."
He added, "This brings the number of displacement and shelter centers targeted by the occupation since the beginning of the genocide to 256, housing more than 700,000 displaced persons." He emphasized that these displaced persons "were deprived of the most basic necessities of life after the occupation destroyed their homes and residential units across the Gaza Strip, making their renewed targeting in refugee centers a double crime."
He explained that "most of these centers were educational schools that were supposed to provide an educational environment for tens of thousands of students, before the Israeli occupation turned them into targets for bombing, in clear violation of all humanitarian and international laws and standards."
The Israeli occupation army has recently escalated its bloody attacks in the Gaza Strip, particularly against displaced persons it has displaced to areas it claims are "safe." Instead, it has targeted them, killing and wounding thousands, while ignoring all international calls to halt its violations.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
