The occupation forces restricted the entry of Palestinian worshippers to Al-Aqsa Mosque and confiscated their ID cards at its outer gates.
Every day, except Fridays and Saturdays, Al-Aqsa Mosque is subjected to a series of raids and violations in an attempt to impose new Judaization policies.
For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, condemned the settlers' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the occupation forces, and called on Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank to remain there.
In a press statement on Monday, she said the raid was "a continuation of the blatant Zionist violations of the sanctity of the mosque, and part of the systematic Judaization plan led by the fascist occupation government, with the aim of imposing a temporal and spatial division of the mosque by force of arms."
The movement called on the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the occupied territories to "intensify their presence at the mosque and protect it from the threat of Judaization," and demanded that "Arab and Islamic countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Arab League take urgent and serious action to curb the occupation."
In a related development, Israeli settlers burned hundreds of dunams of agricultural land in the town of Sa'ir in the Hebron Governorate, south of the occupied West Bank, on Monday, and seized dozens of sheep.
Eyewitnesses said that settlers set fire to hundreds of dunams of agricultural land in the town of Sa'ir, planted with grapes, olives, and almonds. They added that the settlers stole dozens of sheep from Ibrahim al-Shalaldeh's farm in the town.
This comes as Israeli settlers uprooted approximately 200 eight-year-old olive trees on lands in the village of Susiya in the Masafer Yatta area in the southern West Bank.
104 buildings demolished
Separately, Tulkarm Governor Abdullah Kamil announced on Monday that Israeli authorities have decided to demolish 104 additional buildings in the Tulkarm refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank.
Kamil said in a statement: "The Israeli authorities have decided to demolish 104 new buildings in Tulkarm camp." He called on the international community, human rights institutions, and international organizations to "urgently intervene to prevent the occupation forces from implementing the plan." He emphasized that there is "a move to complete the demolition crime against the camp, as part of the ongoing aggression against Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, the city, and the rest of the towns and villages of the governorate."
He stressed the "necessity of halting this aggression and the crime of demolitions, destruction, and vandalism, which have caused widespread forced displacement of residents of the two camps and exacerbated the daily suffering of the citizens, in addition to the siege, closures, raids, and arrests imposed by the occupation forces, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, human rights laws, and international conventions and norms."
Kamil added: "The occupation forces continue their aggression on Tulkarm camp for the 155th consecutive day, and for the 142nd day on Nour Shams camp," noting that there is a "systematic escalation of destruction and sabotage operations, and the forced displacement of citizens, resulting in severe suffering in all aspects of life." He added that "the international community's silence regarding what is happening encourages the occupation to continue its crimes," calling for actual and tangible steps to stop this aggression.
According to the latest data, the Israeli escalation has displaced more than 5,000 families from the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, and has completely destroyed at least 400 homes and partially damaged 2,573. The entrances to the camps remain blocked with barriers, transforming them into near-inhabitable areas, according to official data.
Since January 21, the Israeli occupation army has continued its military aggression against the Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams refugee camps.
In parallel with the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 986 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 7,000 others, and the arrest of more than 17,500, according to Palestinian data.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with full American support, has been waging a genocidal war in Gaza, leaving approximately 190,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
For decades, Israel has occupied Palestine and territories in Syria and Lebanon, and refuses to withdraw from these territories and establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, along the pre-1967 borders.
