Al-Qassam Brigades again targets Israeli vehicles in Gaza, and the occupation army announces that a soldier was seriously injured.

Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement that its fighters reported, after returning from the fighting lines, that they had shelled "a gathering of enemy (Israeli) soldiers and vehicles near the Al-Muhandis Hall in the Al-Satar Al-Gharbi area, north of Khan Yunis (south), with mortar shells on Tuesday."

It stated that its fighters, in conjunction with the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, shelled "an enemy command and control site in the Qizan al-Najjar area, south of Khan Yunis, with a number of mortar shells."

In another statement, the Qassam Brigades said that on July 7, its fighters targeted "an Israeli armored personnel carrier and two D9 military bulldozers with two tandem missiles and a 105-caliber Al-Yassin missile, near Al-Islah roundabout on Al-Muntar Street in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City," "after they returned from the front lines."

"serious wounds"

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army announced on Wednesday that a soldier was seriously injured in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip earlier that day.

In a statement via the X platform, the Israeli occupation army said: “Earlier today, a soldier from the Samson Battalion (92), Kfir Brigade, was seriously wounded in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip,” adding that “the soldier was transferred to the hospital to receive treatment, and his family was notified.”

The army did not elaborate on the circumstances of the soldier's injury, but the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that he sustained "serious injuries" as a result of a building collapse in Rafah (south).

Since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, 893 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 6,108 others wounded, according to army data published on its website.

Observers say these figures are far lower than the actual losses suffered by the Israeli occupation army, which conceals its human and material losses.

According to Hebrew media, Israel imposes strict military censorship on the publication of any information regarding losses, for reasons including maintaining morale.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a war of genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

The genocide, with American support, left more than 198,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.

For decades, Israel has occupied Palestine and territories in Syria and Lebanon, and refuses to withdraw from these territories and establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, along the pre-1967 borders.
