Alex Marquez undergoes recovery, chance to appear in German MotoGP is open






 BK8 Gresini Racing racer, Alex Marquez, revealed positive developments in the recovery process for the left hand injury he experienced during the 2025 Dutch MotoGP at the Assen Circuit, last weekend.

Alex suffered a second metacarpal fracture after falling on the fifth lap of the main race following a collision with Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider Pedro Acosta while the pair were battling for a podium position.

After undergoing surgery in Madrid, Spain evening local time, the Spanish racer underwent his first medical examination two days later. He said that the results were quite encouraging.

“First check-up after surgery, very positive!! We start rehab!” Alex said in a social media post on Wednesday.

The BK8 Gresini Racing team also shared an update on the rider's condition. In an official statement on social media, they stated that the operation on the subcapital fracture of the second metacarpal bone of Alex Marquez's left hand was successful.
