citing foreign sources, that "the talks are progressing positively," noting that the parties concerned are anticipating the outcome of a private dinner between the American and Israeli leaders. Trump's current priority is to end the war in the Gaza Strip and return the Israeli prisoners held by Hamas.

The channel added in its report that the current Israeli negotiating delegation in Doha does not yet include high-ranking officials such as Mossad chief David Barnea or Major General Nitzan Alon, although these officials are expected to join later if the talks approach a conclusion.

The channel quoted informed Israeli sources as saying that "progress remains limited," stressing that all parties are waiting to "understand the available margin for action."

Summit meeting and withdrawal calculations

The channel noted that the White House confirmed that President Trump will host Netanyahu for a private dinner on Monday evening, and that Presidential Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff will travel to Doha later this week to join the negotiations.

Foreign sources reported that "Israel may show slight flexibility regarding the deployment of its forces inside the Gaza Strip, but it refuses to withdraw completely to the previous ceasefire lines." Hamas rejects this, insisting on a comprehensive withdrawal to the pre-March 18 lines.

Israel insists on maintaining a 1.2-kilometer-deep "security perimeter" inside Gaza, particularly around the "Morag axis" between Rafah and Khan Yunis, which it views as a necessary security line.

Disagreements over the aid mechanism

Regarding humanitarian aid, the channel reported "signs of a new understanding" regarding the mechanism for its distribution. Hamas is demanding a return to the previous model, based on trucks entering through the United Nations and the Palestinian Red Crescent, while Israel rejects this model for fear of losing control over supply routes or arms leaking into Gaza. However, the channel revealed a willingness within Israel to accept a "mixed formula," which would keep distribution centers in the southern Gaza Strip while partially reactivating the old UN mechanism.

The complex of ending the war

Despite the partial understandings, Israel, according to the channel, affirms that it will not give up its main demand: "the dismantling of Hamas, the exile of its leaders, and the disarmament of the movement." Netanyahu is expected to reiterate this position explicitly during the summit dinner with Trump.

The channel expected the meeting between the two sides to be held at the White House at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Tel Aviv time (22:30 GMT).

Indirect negotiations and humanitarian pressure

An Israeli delegation arrived in Doha on Sunday to resume indirect negotiations with Hamas, in an attempt to reach a comprehensive agreement that includes a ceasefire and prisoner exchange.

Israel estimates the number of its prisoners in Gaza at approximately 50, including 20 living prisoners. More than 10,400 Palestinians are languishing in its prisons, suffering torture and medical neglect that has led to the deaths of many, according to Palestinian and Israeli human rights reports.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has pursued a war of extermination against the Gaza Strip, with direct American support. This war has included killing, starvation, displacement, and destruction, in defiance of International Court of Justice resolutions and all international appeals.

This war has so far resulted in the deaths of more than 194,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, in addition to more than 10,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, and a famine that is claiming the lives of many.
