A Palestinian was killed and several others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting an apartment building in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City. Three Palestinians were killed in several raids on various areas in eastern Gaza, and two Palestinians, including a child, were killed in an airstrike targeting a civilian gathering in the al-Daraj neighborhood.
Israeli warplanes bombed the Ramlawi family's home in the al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, killing two Palestinians. Two others were also killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a civilian vehicle in the al-Sabra neighborhood south of the city.
The northern Gaza Strip witnessed Israeli attacks that resulted in the deaths of two Palestinians in the town of Beit Lahia. The Israeli occupation army has continued its bombardment of eastern Gaza and the northern Gaza Strip since last night, coinciding with ground operations.
"danger of death"
For its part, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) warned that thousands of Palestinian infants in the Gaza Strip are not receiving the necessary nutrition and are at risk of death, stressing that "every minute is crucial to saving lives."
This came in a post by UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell on Monday on her X account, in which she addressed the catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip.
Russell noted that many Palestinian mothers have either been killed by Israeli airstrikes or are unable to breastfeed their children due to extreme hunger caused by the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip. She noted that many infants are at risk of death or permanent health problems for these reasons.
Since March 2, Israel has closed the Gaza Strip's crossings to all supplies and relief aid, pushing approximately 2.4 million Palestinians into a state of famine.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a war of genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The US-backed genocide left more than 194,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands were displaced, and a famine claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
