The Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association said that a moratorium or suspension of permits for new Internet Service Providers ( ISPs ) is one of the keys to managing the telecommunications industry in Indonesia so that it can perform more efficiently.
APJII Chairman Muhammad Arif said that the moratorium on ISP permits is important so that the current imbalanced industrial conditions can be reorganized along with the updating of regulations from the Government which are expected to be adjusted to current industrial conditions.
"Without the permit being stopped first, it will be very difficult for us to really fix or update the existing regulations. Because if the tap is continuously opened, but the regulations are not changed, it will definitely be very difficult for us to fix it," said Muhammad Arif in an online discussion followed.
