Developing a local horror game that is global class

Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar, welcomed the potential of the narrative horror game "Agni: Village of Calamity" by local studio Separuh Interactive as a global-class Indonesian Intellectual Property (IP).

"We support not only the product, but also the creative process, the courage to tell stories, and the drive to develop strong and sustainable IP," said the Deputy Minister of Creative Economy in a press statement received on Thursday.

According to Irene, Agni is an example of an Indonesian indie game that not only has cinematic power, but also discusses profound issues such as women's trauma, with an artistic visual approach and strong local identity.
