Portuguese striker Diogo Jota, who died in a car accident in Spain, has been inducted into the Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers' (Wolves) Hall of Fame in recognition of his extraordinary achievements for the club and the profound impact of his passing.

Quoted from the club's official website in Jakarta, Friday, Wolves Vice President who is also the chairman of the independent committee managing the Wolves Hall of Fame , John Richards, said that his club's decision regarding Jota was deliberately carried out as quickly as possible.

"There is such a sense of sadness and disbelief over this terrible tragedy that we wanted to pay our own respects as soon as possible," Richards said.

Richards explained that inducting a name into the Wolves Hall of Fame is usually the result of weeks or months of in-depth discussions.

However, in this case, the decision was taken swiftly, reflecting the overwhelming emotion felt by supporters and the wider football community, as well as the incredible legacy Diogo Jota leaves behind.
