Member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Rudianto Lallo, said that the Constitutional Court needs to explain the meaning of the decision on the separation of elections to the government and the DPR in order to maintain its dignity as a judicial institution.
According to him, there must be the best solution to the controversy over the Constitutional Court Decision Number 135/PUU-XXII/2024 because the decision is considered to violate and violate the norms of Article 22 of the 1945 Constitution.
"On the one hand, the Constitutional Court's dignity is also guarded. If a decision is not implemented, it will give the impression of degrading the institution of the Constitutional Court. So we protect each other," said Rudianto at the parliament complex, .
With the explanation from the Constitutional Court, according to him, the DPR and the Government will not be wrong or mistaken when formulating laws on elections.
He considered that the Constitutional Court's decision on the separation of elections between national and local elections actually locked the lawmakers. Usually, he said, the Constitutional Court's decision still opens up space for lawmakers to formulate.
