The authority stated that this city will be established between the Philadelphi and Morag axes in the southern Gaza Strip, allegedly to separate civilians from members of the armed Palestinian factions.

She pointed out that this plan aims to gather hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in an isolated area subject to security screening, as part of Israel's ongoing displacement policy.

Israel is attempting to exploit the few days remaining before any anticipated ceasefire to expand its destruction and annihilate cities, particularly in the north and east of the northern governorate, east of Gaza City, and east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to a source close to Palestinian factions.

The source, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated that Israel is seeking to destroy the remaining foundations of life in these areas, to eliminate any chance of Palestinian return, as it did in the Jabalia camp, which it almost completely destroyed during the second half of 2024.

This comes as indirect talks continue in the Qatari capital, Doha, through mediators in an attempt to reach a ceasefire agreement and release prisoners.

According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, the first phase of the Israeli plan includes transferring thousands of displaced Palestinians from the "humanitarian zone" in Khan Yunis to what it calls the "humanitarian city," an area that will be fully secured by the Israeli occupation army.

According to the same source, Israel plans to transfer approximately 600,000 Palestinians from Gaza to this area after subjecting them to strict security screening procedures. They will not be allowed to leave later, a move that reflects a policy of mass displacement and systematic isolation.

Over the past week, the Israeli occupation army has escalated its bombing and destruction of homes and shelters, particularly multi-story buildings that provide strategic views of the surrounding neighborhoods in northern and eastern Gaza.

According to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), citing the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, 85% of the Gaza Strip is located within Israeli military zones, subject to evacuation orders, or both.

The Israeli authority stated that "the Israeli army does not plan to distribute aid to those in the area itself, but rather seeks to delegate this task to other countries (which it did not name) and international organizations."

She indicated that Israel will establish four new aid distribution points in the area, overseen by the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," which is supported by the United States and Israel. Beyond UN oversight, Israel began implementing a plan to distribute aid through this foundation on May 27.

On a daily basis, the Israeli occupation army fires at starving people lined up near distribution centers, killing 758 Palestinians and wounding 5,005, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza on Monday.

On Monday, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, in a meeting with foreign military correspondents, revealed a plan to establish four additional aid distribution centers south of the Morag axis in Rafah, in addition to establishing a massive civilian zone designated for the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who will be forcibly relocated there.

He said: "Anyone entering this area will not be allowed to leave, and entry will be through narrow passages devoid of Hamas members."

On April 11, the Israeli occupation army announced that it had "completely" taken control of the entire "Morag axis" and encircled the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Since then, the occupation has been carrying out demolitions and bombings of buildings in the border city with Egypt.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

This war left more than 194,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced.
