During an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, Pezeshkian said, "Israel tried to assassinate me but failed," noting that "Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei imposes no restrictions on American investors."
He stressed that "the only obstacle to American investments in Iran is the sanctions imposed by Washington," noting that there is nothing preventing American investors from engaging in commercial, industrial, or economic activities in Iran.
In response to a question about the presence of Iranian "sleeper cells" in the United States, Pezeshkian said, "Israel is trying to instill this idea in your minds, and this is absolutely not true. Iranians, by nature, love peace and quiet."
When asked whether Iran expected military and economic aid from China and Russia in the event of a “major war,” Pezeshkian said, “Our strength is sufficient to protect ourselves and stand on our own two feet.” He reiterated that Iran does not want war, but added, “We will fight to the last drop of our blood to protect our territorial integrity.”
Pezeshkian emphasized that Israel has instilled in American officials the belief that Iran is working to develop nuclear weapons. He rejected concerns about the possibility of Iran attacking the United States, asserting that his country has not invaded another country in the past two hundred years.
"Death to America" does not mean "death to the people or authorities of the United States, but rather to those who want to be part of the massacre, the killing of people, the oppression, and the insecurity," Pezeshkian said.
He continued: "It was your president who admitted that Americans created ISIS and that they are responsible for the false image painted of religion and Muslims around the world."
Pezeshkian stressed that his country is prepared for inspections of its nuclear facilities, adding, "However, unfortunately, as a result of the illegal attacks launched by the United States against our nuclear centers and facilities, many pieces of equipment and facilities have been severely damaged."
On June 13, Israel, with US support, launched a 12-day attack on Iran, targeting military and nuclear sites, civilian facilities, and assassinating military leaders and nuclear scientists.
Iran responded by targeting Israeli military and intelligence headquarters with ballistic missiles and drones. Washington then announced a ceasefire between Tel Aviv and Tehran on the 24th of the same month.
On June 22, the United States attacked Iran's nuclear facilities and claimed to have "eliminated" them. Tehran responded by bombing the U.S. Al-Udeid base in Qatar. On June 24, Washington declared a ceasefire between Tel Aviv and Tehran.
Israel and its ally, the United States, accuse Iran of seeking to produce nuclear weapons, while Tehran says its program is designed for peaceful purposes, including electricity generation.
Israel is the only country in the region with a nuclear arsenal, which is not subject to international oversight, and has continued to occupy territories in Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon for decades.
