Indonesia's best record in 19 years rises to 118th in the world rankings

The Indonesian national team achieved its best ever FIFA world ranking after reaching 118th place in the latest FIFA world rankings update.

"Thank God, the Indonesian national team has risen five places to 118th in the latest FIFA rankings. This ranking is Indonesia's best in the last 19 years," said Erick in his official Instagram post.

Indonesia collected 1154.55 points in 118th position, an increase of 11.63 points from the previous 1142.92 points when it was ranked 123rd in the world in April.

These additional points were earned from two matches played by Indonesia last June, when they recorded a win and a loss in their final two matches of the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Indonesia won 1-0 over China and then lost 0-6 to Japan.
