Apple is reportedly switching to aluminum for the iPhone 17 Pro from the stainless steel and titanium frames on its high-end models, which it started using when the iPhone X was launched in 2017.
Citing a report by Macrumors, the news came from a technology leaker from China known as "Instant Digital" via his upload on the Weibo platform.
He said that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will use an aluminum frame, no longer titanium like the previous generation. However, the back of the device will still use glass material to support wireless charging via MagSafe and Qi.
