"It doesn't cover a single day's needs." The United Nations: Fuel has entered the Gaza Strip for the first time in 130 days

This was stated by UN spokesman Stéphane Dujarric during his daily press conference, where he explained that a UN team was able to enter Gaza from Israel on Wednesday, carrying 75,000 liters of fuel.

He added, "This is the first time in 130 days that fuel has been resupplied to the Gaza Strip," noting that the amount of fuel arriving in Gaza did not even cover one day's needs. He warned that fuel in Gaza was running out, and that all services could be halted as a result.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip warned on Wednesday that Gaza City hospitals could be out of service within the next few hours due to a renewed fuel crisis resulting from the tightened Israeli blockade since last March.

Gaza's health system is suffering from a complete collapse due to Israel's deliberate targeting of the remaining functioning hospitals and health centers in the Strip, and its prevention of the entry of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment.

It also faces the risk of shutting down its remaining hospitals and medical centers due to the worsening fuel crisis resulting from the Israeli closure of the crossings since last March.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

The genocide left more than 195,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that claimed the lives of many, including children.
