Jafar/Felisha won dramatically in the first round of the 2025 China Open

Indonesian mixed doubles pair Jafar Hidayatullah and Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu pulled off a dramatic comeback to secure a spot in the second round of the 2025 BWF World Tour Super 1000 China Open.

They were on the brink of victory, trailing 17-20 in the second game after losing the first. However, they eventually defeated sixth-seeded Malaysian pair Goh Soon Huat and Lai Shevon Jemie 18-21, 24-22 at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Changzhou on Wednesday.

"I'm so grateful to have won today. It was so close earlier. But God still blessed me," Felisha said in an official statement from the Indonesian Football Association (PBSI) after the match.

Felisha admitted that they lost their bearings, especially early in the match. However, a serve moment proved to be a turning point, boosting their confidence.
