Kasepuhan Gelar Alam opens itself to technology

The Ministry of Communication and Digital is preparing to develop digital literacy to encourage the Kasepuhan Gelar Alam indigenous community at the foot of Mount Halimun-Salak, Sukabumi, West Java, to not only use the internet but also utilize the technology for their welfare.

"I think considering the conditions in Kasepuhan Gelar Alam, especially the community's enthusiasm for using the internet, it's fitting that this digital literacy program be introduced here. It's not just about how to use it, but also how to leverage it for prosperity," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria in a statement.

According to him, digital literacy is not just about technical skills, but about using the internet wisely, maintaining traditional values, and avoiding cultural clashes amidst the flood of global information.
