Komnas HAM asks police to keep judicial review room open in case of Foreign Ministry diplomat

The National Commission on Human Rights has asked the police to keep the case of a judicial review (PK) open if new evidence is found in the death of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) diplomat Arya Daru Pangayunan (ADP).

"The police, in this case the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, should remain open to conducting a judicial review if new evidence or facts emerge regarding ADP's death," said National Human Rights Commission Chairperson Anis Hidayah in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Anis explained that Komnas HAM had inspected the location where ADP's body was found, asked for statements from witnesses, family members and friends of the victim, and examined the results of the police investigation and hospital examination.

Based on these efforts, Komnas HAM concluded that until now no evidence has been found to show that anyone else was involved in the diplomat's death.
