Indonesian women's doubles pair Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti admitted their defeat to Liu Shengshu/Tan Ning 21-10, 17-21, 16-21 in the quarterfinals of the BWF World Tour Super 750 Japan Open 2025 was due to their failure to maintain consistency on crucial points.
"We've always been able to keep up with the top 10 women's doubles, but our finishing is still a bit less consistent," Fadia said in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) on Friday.
Playing against the top seeds from China, Lanny/Fadia put on a promising performance, winning the first game 21-10. However, they couldn't maintain their dominance in the next two games, ultimately losing 17-21, 16-21 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.
