Liverpool open negotiations with Frankfurt for the transfer of Hugo Ekitike

Liverpool have reportedly begun aggressive moves in the summer transfer window by opening negotiations with German club Eintracht Frankfurt to sign talented young striker Hugo Ekitike.

Liverpool have submitted an offer of 80 million euros (Rp1.51 trillion) and the player is ready to accept the English club's offer.

The 22-year-old French striker came into the spotlight thanks to his impressive performances for Frankfurt last season, where he scored 22 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.

This impressive performance made him a target for a number of top European clubs, including Liverpool, Newcastle United, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

However, Liverpool appear to be moving faster to secure the signature of the player who is under contract until 2029.

Liverpool's move to sign Ekitike comes after they hit a dead end in their attempt to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, who was rejected outright by The Magpies with a price tag of more than 120 million pounds (Rp2.62 trillion).
