The Ministry of Communication and Digital is collaborating with telecommunications company XLSmart in an effort to develop female digital talent through the Sisternet digital literacy program.
Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid explained that the government is targeting digital training and empowerment for 2.4 million people by 2025. Through collaboration with global and national industry players, the government has currently reached more than 5.2 million people.
"Hopefully, there will be an increased commitment to developing digital talent, especially for women. XLSmart is officially strengthening the Sisternet program, a collaborative initiative between Komdigi and XLSmart," Meutya said in South Jakarta on Thursday.
Through learning modules, community forums, and education related to digital spaces, Meutya believes the Sisternet program supports women as family caregivers and key pillars of the local digital economy.
