Preventing cybercrime requires technological awareness and anticipation.

The Chairman of the Indonesia Cyber Security Forum (ICSF), Ardi Sutedja, emphasized that preventing cybercrime requires collective awareness and the ability of the public to develop an anticipatory attitude towards the rapid development of digital technology.

"No technology is completely secure because the majority of users are merely consumers and don't understand the content or risks of the systems they use," Ardi said during a discussion on cybercrime in Jakarta on Thursday.

He explained that an approach called centric awareness is very important in building a digital security culture.

This concept emphasizes the sensitivity of individuals and institutions to recognize cyber threats and have the ability to respond before an attack occurs.

According to Ardi, sophisticated technology such as artificial intelligence (AI) has also been exploited by criminals to create fraud that is difficult to detect, such as using fake faces or fake voices.
