PBVSI targets the U-16 national volleyball team to reach the top four in Asia

Imam Sudjarwo, Chairman of the Indonesian Volleyball Association is targeting the Indonesian U-16 men's national volleyball team to reach the top four in the 2025 Asian Men's U-16 Volleyball Championship.

"Our target is a top four finish. If we're talking about targets, it might seem like a dream. But hopefully, that dream can be achieved," Imam said in a written statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.

He hopes that coach Indra Wahyudi's team can maintain a solid performance from the group stage. Their initial target is to finish second in their group and advance to the quarterfinals.

Indonesia is in Pool B alongside Iran, Kazakhstan, and Hong Kong. Iran is the opponent they should be wary of, as the defending champion.

Coach Indra Wahyudi acknowledged Iran's strength, but remained confident in his team's potential.

"Iran is indeed the toughest team in this group. I've seen their performance. But at the U-16 level, players from all teams still make frequent unforced errors, including Iran," said Indra.
