The President Director of Harapan Kita Heart and Blood Vessel Hospital , Dr. dr. Iwan Dakota, Sp.JP(K), MARS, emphasized that trust and data security are the main foundations in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare facilities.
"That's what patients are asking about, this issue of personal data. So, I think almost all hospitals now use electronic medical records ; they really do use electronic medical records ," he said at a media conference in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Iwan confirmed that there were times when patients asked about medical records stored in the database. The questions became even more critical when the data system at one of the vertical hospitals was hacked for two days, rendering it inoperable.
