Samsung Electronics Co. plans to launch its first tri-fold smartphone later this year, adding a new variant to its Galaxy flagship lineup.
"We are working hard to release it before the end of this year," said Samsung Electronics President and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division Roh Tae-moon in a press conference after the Galaxy Unpacked event to launch the latest models of Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 in New York, US, Wednesday (9/7).
The company recently hinted at the arrival of a foldable phone with three screens.
At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 last March, Samsung showcased concept devices with tri-folding displays, the Flex G and Flex S, signaling continued development in this area.
