Pediatrician from the University of Indonesia Hospital (RS UI) Dr. Shofa Nisrina Luthfiyani, Sp.A shared recommendations for parents so that children can have proper access to gadgets and not interfere with their growth and development.

According to him, following the guidelines from the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI), children aged 0-2 years are absolutely not allowed to access gadgets, while for children in the next period, namely 2-5 years, they can start accessing gadgets but must still be supervised by parents.

"The Indonesian Institute of Sciences (IDAI) recommends that screen time (time spent with gadgets) be strictly prohibited until the age of 2 years, as it could interfere with language development. For children 2-5 years, the maximum is one hour per day, and this must be supervised. Children should not be allowed to use their own gadgets ," said Dr. Shofa in an online discussion attended
