Ministry of Communication and Digital: PP Tunas anticipates excessive gadget use by children






The Ministry of Communication and Digital stated that Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning the Governance of Electronic System Providers in Child Protection (PP Tunas) is present as an effort to anticipate excessive use of gadgets by children.

The Director General of Digital Space Supervision at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology, Alexander Sabar, stated that the Tunas PP mandates Electronic System Providers (PSEs) to provide information regarding age classifications for products, services, and features (PLFs) designed for or potentially used by children.

"This regulation regarding age classification is the government's effort to ensure child protection in the use of PLF by focusing on the child's best interests, including anticipating excessive gadget use that could affect a child's growth and development," Alex said when contacted
