Ginting learns a valuable lesson after being eliminated from the 2025 China Open

Indonesian men's singles player Anthony Sinisuka Ginting learned a valuable lesson despite being eliminated in the first round of the BWF World Tour Super 1000 China Open 2025 after losing to Canadian representative Brian Yang 21-9, 16-21, 14-21 at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Changzhou.

"From these two tournaments, the positive thing I can take away is being able to experience the atmosphere of the match again, the pressure, and the tension on the court," Ginting said in an official statement from the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) after the match.

He admitted he hadn't been able to perform optimally, especially when it came to implementing game strategies. Furthermore, the windy pitch conditions restricted his control of the game, leading him to make many unforced errors.

"The conditions here are quite volatile. This makes it difficult for me to implement my strategy in a disciplined manner, and I often lose. That's what makes my opponents more confident," said Ginting.
