MotoGP, through operator Dorna Sport, has partnered with the Motegi Circuit until 2030, ensuring the Japanese GP will be included on the MotoGP calendar for the next five seasons.
"We aim for the further development of motorcycle sports and sustainable event management," said Honda Mobilityland Corporation President Tsuyoshi Saito, as quoted by MotoGP on Wednesday.
"As we make the most of Motegi's rich natural environment, we will continue to work to deliver a Grand Prix that can be enjoyed by even more fans," he added.
Tsuyoshi Saito hopes to provide an interesting treat in the next season.
Dorna Sports CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta revealed that the Japanese GP is very popular among MotoGP fans.
"Japan is important for MotoGP. Motegi always puts on a fantastic show and is a key point in the calendar for organizing its events," said Carmelo Ezpeleta.
