South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office names Alex Noerdin a suspect in Cinde Market corruption case






 The South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office has finally named four suspects in the Palembang Cinde Market revitalization case, including former Governor Alex Noerdin, who has been under investigation since 2023.

"The investigation team has examined 74 witnesses and collected sufficient evidence as regulated in Article 184 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code, therefore determining four people as suspects," said Aspidsus Umaryadi accompanied by the Head of Legal Information of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office Vanny Yulia Eka Sari in a press conference at the South Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office Building, Palembang, Wednesday night.

Former Governor of South Sumatra H Alex Noerdien was named a suspect who is currently still serving his sentence for the corruption case of the construction of the Sriwijaya Mosque in Palembang and the case of purchasing natural gas through PT PDPDE.

Then, three other suspects namely Edi Hermanto who is currently being detained in the previous case as the Chairman of the Procurement Committee for the Build Operate Transfer Cooperation Partner Business Entity, Director of PT. Magna Beatum Eldrin Tando and Head of Branch of PT. Magna Beatum Rainmar.
