Samsung recently introduced its thinnest foldable phone from the Galaxy Z Fold line, the Galaxy Z Fold7, but it seems that this might not be possible in the Galaxy Z Fold8 with its appearance which is expected to be thicker.
In a report by Gizmochina, this might not happen because of the company's decision to change the design but instead is influenced by external factors related to the global political situation.
This was first suggested by The Elec, which said Samsung could potentially replace the titanium backplate on the Galaxy Z Fold8.
This back plate may be replaced with carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), the material used on the Galaxy Z Fold6 to provide structural support for the inner folding screen.
